2 – Operations Update

Snow Is Falling, and the Base Is Building

We can’t wait to welcome you back this weekend for what’s shaping up to be the best early-season skiing and snowboarding in years! Thanks to the tireless efforts of our Operations Department and the powerhouse of our new TechnoAlpin snow guns, pumphouse, and upgraded water lines, Buck Hill’s base is deeper than ever before this early in the season. It’s not just snow—it’s a perfectly groomed playground. Your skis and boards are about to feel right at home.

New Terrain & Lifts: The Season Is Opening Wide

Ready for more? Starting on Thursday, December 5th, the trails Crossroads, Milk Run, Woodchuck Way, and Coyote Cutoff and the Little Jibber Park will be open for the first time this season. Take note, the Redtail Ridge Park will close temporarily for snowmaking and a fresh park reset, but don’t worry—we hope to open it up and potentially even more terrain this weekend. What’s Open Friday, December 6th?

Trails: Milk Run, Crossroads, Milk Run, Teacher’s Pet, Deer Run, School Yard, Coyote Cutoff, and Woodchuck Way

Terrain Parks: Little Jibber Park & Never-Ever Park

Lifts: Lookout Chairlift, Snow Day Chair Lift, Wonder Carpet, Magic Carpet, and Little Jibber Rope Tow

Snow Tubing: Closed (Opening TOMORROW Saturday, December 7th)

What’s Open Saturday, December 7th & Sunday, December 8th?

Trails: Rail Yard, Warner’s Way, Olympic Dreams, Sailer’s Chute, Mouse Pass, Crossroads, Milk Run, Teacher’s Pet, Woodchuck Way, Coyote Cutoff, Deer Run, and School Yard.

Terrain Parks: Little Redtail Ridge Park, Jibber Park & Never-Ever Park

Lifts: Lake View Chairlift, Lookout Chairlift, Snow Day Chair Lift, Wonder Carpet, Magic Carpet, Redtail Ridge Rope Tow, and Little Jibber Rope Tow

Snow Tubing: OPEN

Pro Tip: If you’re still mastering the art of the lift line, now’s a great time to get some practice—before the holiday crowds roll in.

3:00 PM – 9:00 PM
$39 All-Day Lift Ticket
$20 Late-Night Lift Ticket

Starting Saturday, December 7th, we shift into regular season hours and rates:
Saturday & Sunday: 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM

(Yeah, that means you can rack up a solid 12 hours of riding each day—legs, don’t fail us now!)

Once your legs have had enough, it’s time to refuel at Buck ‘54 Bar & Grill. Trust us—you don’t want to miss the new menu this season. Featured Item: The legendary Tater-Tot Hotdish—because nothing says Minnesota like a casserole made with love, tater tots, and a little bit of magic.

And for those of you looking to extend the après-ski vibes:
Friday & Saturday: Open until 11:00 PM
Warm up by the fireplace or enjoy the crisp air on the deck with a local craft beer or a Red Bull Winter Edition cocktail in hand.

(Yes, it’s okay to brag about how many runs you crushed today while sipping that beer.)
