WEDNESDAY GS CLINICS

Skier Type: All Ages and Abilities

Dates: December 13th, 20th, January 3rd, 10th, 17th - CANCELLED, 24th, 31st, February 7th - CANCELLED, 14th, 21st, and 28th*

Times: 10:15 AM - 12:00 PM

Course Run: Crossroads

Fee: $30 per day

*February 28th GC Race Clinic will have timed runs

FRIDAY GS CLINICS

Skier Type: All Ages and Abilities

Dates: January 12th - CANCELLED, February 2nd, 9th - CANCELLED, and CANCELLED 23rd

Times: 7:00 - 8:30 PM

Course Run:  Milk Run (Timed Runs)

Fee: $35 per day

Stance and Balance: Emphasize the importance of maintaining a balanced and centered stance on the skis.

Turn Initiation: Teach the basics of initiating turns by shifting weight and edging the skis.

Carving Techniques: Explain the concept of carving and how to utilize the ski edges effectively.

Body Position: Discuss the optimal body position for GS skiing, including hip and shoulder alignment.

Pole Planting: Teach the role of pole planting and its significance in timing and rhythm.

Pressure Control: Explain how to manage pressure on the skis during turns, especially in longer, sweeping turns.

Rhythm and Timing: Stress the importance of maintaining a consistent rhythm and timing throughout the course

Safety Awareness: Ensure participants are aware of safety protocols and etiquette on the slopes and during races.

Buck Hill Giant Slalom Race Clinic Weather Cancellations

If there is a snow emergency or a snowfall of more than two inches or the temperature is at 0 degree or less or a windchill below -10 degrees before the clinic, the clinic will be canceled. The Clinic sessions may also be cancelled if any of these conditions happen during a clinic.

Buck Hill Giant Slalom Race Clinic Attendance Cancellations
