Seasonal Job Descriptions
Outdoor Operations
Our Chairlift Operators are the front line team members at Buck Hill. They are the "faces" and "personalities" that our guests come to love. Lift Operation Team Members are responsible for the safe and efficient operation of chair lifts, rope tows, conveyor lifts and the customers that use them. They spend their days helping customers, of all skill levels, load and unload from lifts, in all kinds of weather. As a result, enjoyment of the outdoors is a must! Many guests come to know the chairlift operators and enjoy their interactions with them. We have openings for full-time, part-time, day, night, and seasonal employees in this department.
Leverage and expand your knowledge and experience with the Buck Hill Snowmaking Operations Team. Our Snowmakers are responsible for the up keep, maintenance, and snow creation across Buck Hill Ski and Snowboard Area. Our snowmakers are critical to the success of our operations. This position requires a range of skills from mechanic and machine operations. With a variety of responsibilities and tasks, and a small team to work with, no two days with Buck Hill will be the same. This position is weather dependent and starts some time in the beginning of November and lasts 10-30 days depending on mother nature.
Come work at the Midwest's premier action sports resort. Whether its your first time seeing snow or you were born on the slopes, joining our team means discovering (or re-discovering) a passion for the outdoors while building lifelong connections with our team and guests. Our mechanic team assists with the day to day operations in the maintenance and repairs of all our vehicles and equipment.
Our Terrain Park Operations Team Members will help create and shape the terrain parks that our guest love to ride! Team members will assist with the design, building, shaping, and maintaining the terrain parks for our guests. These team members will use hand tools to set new features, and then tune and monitor the features throughout the day. Additionally, these team members will work with the Terrain Park Manager to execute photo and video shoots done with both internal and third-party photographers and videographers. If our lift operations team is unable staff rope tow attendants, these team members may be called upon to help fill those gaps.

Front Desk agents also manage the ebb and flow of customer arrivals by staying busy answering the phones, making sure the Ski School, Chalet, Ticket Office are in good shape, and capturing customer feedback.

Guest Service Ambassadors must have incredible passion and enthusiasm for the sport, enabling them to provide basic instruction to guest as they arrive at Buck Hill Ski and Snowboard Area. This position will be outside and assisting beginning skiers and snowboarders. Keeping a constant eye on safety and teaching accordingly, ambassadors are a critical piece of the overall guest experience and can singlehandedly set in motion a guest’s lifelong passion for skiing and snowboarding.
SnowSport Center

Share your passion! Our team is seeking ski and snowboard instructors for the winter season. These team members spend their days teaching, skiing, and riding with guests. No experience is required to be a ski and snowboard instructor since we are able to coach employees everything, they need to know to be successful. The only requirement is the ability to ski or snowboard at an intermediate level.
Snow Tubing Operations
Tubing attendants work outdoors on the snow to ensure all guests have a fun and safe visit at our snow tubing park, which offers sixteen lanes of rolling terrain and is serviced by a conveyor surface lift. In addition to providing exceptional guest service, tubing attendants will also assist guests with loading and unloading the conveyor, safely controlling the flow of downhill traffic, and engaging guests with enthusiasm. Having fun on the job is a requirement. This customer-facing role is perfect for the energetic, outdoors person. Tubing attendants must be at least 16 years old.
Our snow tubing ticket sales team is located inside our tubing snack shack. This fast-paced and versatile role is perfect for those who are positive, outgoing and energetic. In addition to providing exceptional guest service, other responsibilities include selling tickets, selling merchandise, answering guest questions, fulfilling online ticket orders, preparing food & beverage orders, facility cleaning, and other duties as assigned. Ticket sellers must be detail-oriented, tech savvy and be comfortable engaging with customers. Team members must be at least 16 years old to work in this position.
Rental
This technical role ensures our guests are fitted properly with equipment for their day of skiing or snowboarding. In addition to providing exceptional guest service, other responsibilities include verifying rental information, boot fitting, ski and snowboard setups, light cleaning, and other duties as assigned. Rental techs must be detail-oriented, quick learners and be comfortable engaging with customers of varying ski/snowboard experience levels. Training is provided. Team members must be at least 16 years old to work in this position. We are especially in need of 18+ for weekday, daytime shifts.
