Fall Conditioning

The Buck Hill Ski Team membership includes about 6 weeks of fall dryland training sessions. The team practices Monday and Wednesday from 6:30pm – 8:00pm at the Bloomington Kennedy athletic center and on Saturdays from 9:00am-11am at Lac Lavon park in Burnsville or at Buck Hill. Practices begin 1st Saturday of October at Buck Hill and will continue until the hill opens for the winter.

Dryland practices are run and organized by Coach Maria Schilling. Maria has an undergraduate degree in physical education and an M.A. in Kinesiology/Exercise Physiology.

Winter Program

Work with our top-level coaches 5 days a week during the winter season. Practice sessions will include timing, video, and verbal feedback. Team members also receive coaching at all team supported races. The Buck Hill ski team prides itself on staffing the best coaches to not only provide technical feedback but also pace-set and demonstrate skills for the athletes. Our coaching staff includes former Olympians, world cup racers, national champions, and collegiate racers.

Practices will begin as soon as the hill is open for the season. All practices are at Buck Hill unless otherwise noted.
