Legacy in Motion
There’s a moment at the end of every season—when the lifts have stopped spinning and the last patches of snow melt away—where I find myself looking out over an empty hill. No crowds, no noise, just the hill and a deep sense of appreciation. It’s in those quiet moments that I think about what Buck Hill really is.
Yes, it’s a ski area. A place for winter sports, summer fun, and everything in between. But more than that, it’s a place where memories are made, seasons are marked, and lives are quietly shaped—sometimes without us even realizing it.
When I think about Buck Hill, I don’t just see the present—I see the past and the future running alongside it. I think about the generations of families who’ve learned to ski or snowboard here, the local kids who grew into Olympic athletes, the lifelong friendships that started in the lift line, and the staff who pour their heart into this place season after season. That’s the legacy we’re part of. And it’s still in motion.
To me, being part of Buck Hill is a responsibility. Not just to maintain what’s here—but to honor it, grow it, and make sure it continues to mean something for the next generation. Whether we’re grooming trails, hosting events, or dreaming up what’s next, we’re always building on the foundation left by those before us.
So as we shift into spring and summer, I just want to say thank you—for being part of this place, for believing in it, and for carrying the story of Buck Hill forward with us. Legacy doesn’t live in the past. It lives in what we do now. And every day, we get to write another line of it together.
Stay Rad,
