About NMDP:
NMDP’s fundraising and community events directly support its mission to save lives through marrow and blood stem cell transplantation. Their programs focus on: Patient Assistance – Covering uninsured medical costs, travel, lodging, and other transplant-related expenses for patients and families. Donor Recruitment & Registry Expansion —Recruiting and supporting bone marrow and stem cell donors to grow and diversify the global donor registry. Research & Innovation —Funding research to improve transplant success rates, reduce complications, and develop new therapies. Education & Outreach —Raising awareness about blood cancers, transplant options, and donor registration through community events and advocacy. Support Services — Providing counseling, navigation, and emotional support for patients and caregivers throughout their transplant journey.
