BUCK HILL COMMUNITY MOUNTAIN BIKE RIDE SERIES

Buck Hill Community Mountain Bike Ride Series 1×1 v2

RIDE LOCAL. MEET NEW PEOPLE. BUILD COMMUNITY.

Mountain biking is one of those rare activities that can mean something different to everyone.

For some riders, it’s a workout. For others, it’s a chance to clear their mind after a long day. Some enjoy the challenge of navigating roots, berms, and climbs. Others want an excuse to spend more time outdoors with friends.

No matter what brings you to the trails, the Buck Hill Community Mountain Bike Series was created with one goal in mind: bringing people together through outdoor recreation.

This summer, Buck Hill is opening the trails for a series of FREE community rides designed to welcome riders of all ages and abilities. You might be completely new to mountain biking, preparing for the Freewheel Cup Mountain Bike Race Series, or looking for a fun way to spend a Monday evening, you’ll find a place on the trail.

Free Trail Access During Community Ride Nights

One of the biggest barriers to trying a new activity is often the cost of getting started.

To make mountain biking more accessible, Buck Hill is offering FREE trail access during designated Community Mountain Bike Series events with a completed waiver.

Normally, mountain bike trail access requires either:

A $6 Day Pass
A $20 Summer Pass

During Community Ride nights, riders can explore the trail system at no cost. It’s an opportunity to see what mountain biking at Buck Hill is all about before committing to a Summer Activities Season Pass or regular visits throughout the season.

For riders planning to spend more time outdoors this summer, the Buck Hill Summer Activities Season Pass (Buy HERE) offers exceptional value with unlimited access to the mountain bike trails, hiking trails, and disc golf course all season long. Passholders also receive 10% off food and beverages at Buck ’54 Bar & Grill, making it easy to turn every trail day into a complete Buck Hill experience.

Discover the Buck Hill Trail System

Many people know Buck Hill for winter skiing and snowboarding, but the property offers a growing list of outdoor recreation opportunities throughout the warmer months as well.

The Buck Hill Mountain Bike Trails provide a fun and approachable riding experience for beginners while still offering enough variety to keep experienced riders engaged.

The trail network includes:

Flowing singletrack
Bermed turns
Rolling terrain
Technical features
Elevation changes unique to Buck Hill

The trails are designed to help riders build confidence, improve bike handling skills, and enjoy time outdoors without having to travel far from the Twin Cities.

For riders looking to train, the mountain bike trails also provide a convenient location to prepare for events like the Freewheel Cup Mountain Bike Race Series.

For everyone else, they’re a great place to ride.

Keep the Ride Going at Buck ’54 Bar & Grill

After a couple of hours on the trails, you’ve probably earned a post-ride meal. Fortunately, you won’t have to go far.

Following each Community Mountain Bike Series event, riders are encouraged to stop by Buck ’54 Bar & Grill to relax, refuel, and continue the conversation. There’s something special about sitting down after a ride, sharing trail stories, comparing bike setups, and talking about where you’ll ride next.

You might be craving a burger, sandwich, appetizer, or a cold beverage, Buck ’54 is the perfect place to wind down after an evening on the trails. And if you buy a Summer Activities Pass (Buy HERE) you get 10% off at Buck ‘54 Bar & Grill all season long.

It’s also a great opportunity to meet other riders in a more relaxed setting and continue building connections within the local mountain bike community.

Because sometimes the best part of the ride happens after the ride.

See you on the trails!
