Explore Buck Hill’s Outdoor Adventure Playground
Opening Sunday, June 1st, 2025!
It’s time to trade ski boots for trail shoes, mountain bikes, and disc bags – Buck Hill’s Mountain Bike Trails, Disc Golf Course, and Hiking Trail officially open for the 2025 season on Sunday, June 1st! Just a short drive south from Minneapolis and St. Paul, Buck Hill transforms into a vibrant, warm-weather adventure zone all summer long, and this year is shaping up to be our best yet.
If you’re a seasoned rider, a weekend warrior, or just looking for ways to move mindfully in nature, there’s something for you at Buck Hill. Let’s break down what’s waiting for you on the hill this summer.
Mountain Biking: Adrenaline with a View
Single-track thrills, natural terrain, and jaw-dropping views.
Welcome to your next favorite ride. Our single-track mountain biking trails are designed with every level of rider in mind, you might be a gearing up for a heart-pounding climb or taking it easy on the descents – Buck Hill Mountain Bike Trails are the place to ride. Winding through thick forests and glacially carved hillsides, these trails pack in a variety of terrain – rock gardens, sweeping berms, and moderate drops – perfect for keeping your skills sharp and your stoke level high.
And the views? Unreal. The higher you climb, the more you’ll be rewarded with sweeping panoramas of Crystal Lake and the Minneapolis skyline in the distance. There’s some climbs, yes, but it’s also a soulful ride through one of the metro’s most scenic playgrounds.
If you’re new to mountain biking, don’t worry, our trails have gentle options to help you get comfortable with single track riding. Just bring your sense of adventure (and a helmet, too).

Disc Golf: 18 Hole, Endless Fun
Pro-designed fun and challenge across 60 scenic acres.
If you haven’t tried the Buck Hill Disc Golf Course yet, you’re in for a real treat, and a bit of a trek, too.
Set across 60 acres of private resort land, this is one of the most dynamic and scenic disc golf courses in the state. Designed by PDGA Pro and course architect Cale Leiviska, in collaboration with Prodigy Disc Golf, the course features elevation changes, wooded lanes, wide-open sloping meadows, and tees with views that’ll have you snapping pics before you throw.
From tight tunnel shots to wide fairways with sneaky wind, every hole presents a unique challenge. Competitive players and casual flingers love Buck Hill’s layout because it rewards strategy, accuracy, and a little bit of daring to play.
The PDGA-approved Prodigy targets and Neveplast tee pads add a professional touch to this south metro gem. We can’t wait to see you score birdies, bogeys, and laughs along the way.
