BUCK HILL IS WINTER FUN!
Wow, 58 years of winter fun for the whole family! And now with Frightmares at Buck Hill, the month of October is full of scary attractions at Buck Hill. Frightmares was a huge hit in its inaugural season. The Star Tribune said "If we were talking films, Frightmares at Buck Hill would be the big-budget studio film," (Tom Horgen, Star Tribune, 10/09/2009) and Metromix Twin Cities ranked Frightmares at Buck Hill number one in the Twin Cities for Halloween haunts.
Former Buck Hill Ski Racing Team member Lindsey Vonn won the Gold Medal in the Women's Downhill at the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics. Buck Hill celebrated with a viewing party, and lots of friends and fans showed up to cheer her on. Lindsey is now the most successful alpine ski racer in American history.
Buck Hill continues to be a leader in the green energy program. Buck Hill still purchases 100% of its energy from wind energy-over 1.5 million kWh's annually. Purchasing this large amount of wind energy is equivalent to planting 287 acres of trees annually!
